The Priest Class

In a world where the pantheons of Gods are myriad and deeply storied the need for theologists is enormous. Where a Cleric is a devotee, a Priest is equal parts scholar, worshipper and journeyman. They approach religion as a Wizard approaches magic, seeking to learn and understand, and in turn become masterful practitioners of the Holy Arts.

The Priest is a supportive full-caster that harkens back to tropes of old, wielding a wide suite of short, medium and long-term buffs. A class for those who enjoy staying out of trouble while they empower their allies to godlike prowess. Indeed the closest analogue may even be the classic Bard, with its mix of magical utility, active buffs and social tools.

This class comes with 4 subclasses known as 'Doctrines' which each revolve around methods of religious practice. They are the Medic Doctrine, Preacher Doctrine, Ritualist Doctrine and Pilgrim Doctrine.
